Trauma-Informed Yoga

Personalized Attention to Refine Mind Body and Spirit

As a registered yoga teacher and a licensed therapist, I specialize in Trauma-Sensitive Yoga and am conscious to each individual client while bringing a therapeutic experience to a one-on-one setting. Clients become acquainted with and reclaim their bodies, helping them become grounded in the present moment and allows for them to explore the benefits of mindfulness as they flow breath to movement in guided trauma-informed practice and meditation. Resetting the mind sometimes requires resetting our physiological and physical selves, especially if you are a survivor of physical and/or sexual abuse. The practice of trauma-informed yoga can help clients establish safety and resource their body in a way that feels authentic and manageable, a truly unique way to address their individual needs. Private, Trauma-Informed Yoga sessions are available to clients of all levels, who seek personalized therapeutic attention, are wanting to deepen their understanding of yoga, need assistance with creating a personalized yoga practice and feel a need to connect their mental and physical bodies together. These sessions are tailor made to meet the needs of the individual and can include evaluation and upgrade of lifestyle habits and practices, goal setting and self-care practices in addition to physical Asana techniques and alignment training, posture sequencing, modifications, breathwork, meditation and relaxation practices. Each yoga client will receive homework and directives after each session to continue their practice at home or at work.
